Verse was an American hardcore punk and melodic hardcore band from Providence Rhode Island. The group signed with Rivalry Records and released their debut extended play Four Songs (2003) followed by their debut studio album Rebuild (2005). After performing on several tours of the United States and Europe they released their second studio album From Anger and Rage (2006) which was recorded at Atomic Fireball Studios. To promote the release they toured with bands including Have Heart and Shipwreck. Verse subsequently signed with Bridge 9 Records and released their third studio album Aggression (2008) which was recorded at Godcity Studios. The band disbanded in February 2009 but returned in December 2011. They subsequently released their fourth studio album Bitter Clarity, Uncommon Grace (2012) through Bridge 9 Records before becoming inactive.
