Anvil of Doom, a Spanish death metal band from Jerez de la Frontera, was formed in 1999. The group gained initial recognition in 2002 with their demo Died before Dawn, which led to a contract with Xtreem Music in April 2003. Anvil of Doom's debut album, Deathillusion, released in October 2004, showcased their evolution towards a more technical death metal sound while retaining melodic elements. The band performed extensively, sharing stages with international acts such as Testament and Megadeth, and headlining festivals like the I Andalusian Extreme Metal Fest and Akople Rock. In 2011, they released an EP titled Turn Your Back. Anvil of Doom's activity ceased in 2014.
