Hasil Adkins was an American singer and one-man band born on April 29, 1937, in Boone County, West Virginia. He achieved professional recognition for a musical career characterized by rockabilly and rock 'n' roll and for playing multiple instruments simultaneously including the guitar, drums, and harmonica. Adkins achieved professional recognition for a career that began after he was inspired by the musician Hank Williams and for creating the dances the Hunch and the Chicken Walk. Their recording career began with early singles including "She Said" and "Chicken Walk". Adkins achieved professional recognition for the studio recording Wild Man (1987) and the studio recording Moon Over Madison (1990). He achieved professional recognition for composing more than 7,000 songs and serving as an influence on ensembles including Motörhead and Marilyn Manson. The artist died on April 26, 2005, at age 67. Their recording career included the live recording Live in Chicago (1995) and the compilation recording Poultry in Motion: The Hasil Adkins Chicken Collection 1955-1999.
