Vorkreist is a Paris-based blackened death metal band that has been active since 1999. The group initially released a demo in 2001 and followed it with their debut album Sabbathical Flesh Possession in 2003. In 2006, they released their second album, Sublimation XXIXA, which garnered more positive reviews than its predecessor. The band toured Europe in September 2007 alongside Blacklodge and Horna. Vorkreist's lineup has seen several changes over the years, with notable members including Johannes "A.K." Judicaël on guitar, Dave "D. Terror" on drums, Hervé "EsX" on guitar, Saint Vincent on vocals, and Narcotic on bass. Former member Marianne "LSK" Séjourné, who played bass from 1999 to 2013, passed away in 2013.
