Norbert Rodenkirchen, born in 1962 in Köln, Germany, is a German flutist and composer. He studied flute and baroque traverso at the Musikhochschule Köln under Hans-Martin Müller and Günther Hoeller. In 1996, Rodenkirchen joined the ensemble Sequentia and also became a member of the French ensemble Dialogos led by Katarina Livljanic, performing at numerous international festivals. He composed music for theater and film, including the soundtrack for the film Auf der Couch (2001). From 2003 to 2011, he served as artistic director of the "Schnütgen Konzerte – Musik des Mittelalters" concert series at the Wallraf-Richartz Museum in Cologne. Rodenkirchen released the album Hameln Anno 1284 / Medieval flute music on the trail of the Pied Piper (2012), and collaborated with Albrecht Maurer on the albums Hidden Fresco (2005) and Loplop's Call (2013). His discography also includes the albums Moersbow/OZZO (2009) and Opalescence (2018).
