Anders Erik Carlsson, known as Goto80, is a Swedish music artist and researcher born on February 9, 1981. He began his music career at age 12 within the demoscene, releasing his first tracks for free in demos and on BBSs. His early style was predominantly rave and electronica. In 1998, Carlsson performed live with the pop group HT. In 2000, he released his first formal release, the cassette Lo Fi Mono Festival. The following year, he made one of the earliest Game Boy live performances with LSDj alongside Role Model. Carlsson released the Papaya EP in 2001, which combined pop, dub, vocoders, and calypso. He co-founded the band Superdöner in 2002 and moved to Melbourne in 2003, where he began incorporating modern tools like Renoise into his music production. His debut album, Commodore Grooves (2005), was released the same year he was named artist of the year at the Microdisko Chipmusic Awards. Notable releases include the song "Breakfast" (2009), listed as one of the top 10 chip songs of all time, and albums such as Digi-Dig (2007) and 80864 (2016).
