Electric Eel Shock, a garage rock band from Japan, was formed in Tokyo in 1994 by Akihito "Aki" Morimoto on guitar and vocals, Kazuto Maekawa on bass, and Tomoharu Ito, known as Gian, on drums. Their debut album Maybe... I Think We Can Beat Nirvana was released in 1997. In 1999, they embarked on their first international tour in the United States. The band's subsequent releases included Go America!, Go Europe!, and Go USA!, produced with a higher budget and licensed worldwide. In 2005, Electric Eel Shock released Beat Me, an album recorded in a professional studio. Their album Sugoi Indeed was released in 2009 through Rodeostar Records.
