Stanley Odd is a Scottish alternative hip hop, electronic, rap rock, and political hip hop group from Edinburgh, formed in 2009. The collective combines live instrumentation with samples and loops. Stanley Odd released the debut single “The Numbness” on October 14, 2009, followed by the first album, Oddio, in May 2010. The group released the EPs Pure Antihero Material (2011) and The Day I Went Deaf (2011). Their second album, Reject (2012), was shortlisted for the Scottish Album of the Year Award in 2013. Stanley Odd performed at festivals including T in the Park and supported acts such as Arrested Development, Sage Francis, and The View. In 2014, the group released the album A Thing Brand New. Stanley Odd returned from a hiatus in 2020 with the single “Where They Lie” and released the album STAY ODD in 2021.
