Round One was a German disco act formed by the production duo Mach II, who recorded as "Round One" in the On Line Records studios in Köln in 1985. The group, fronted by lead vocalist Christopher Bee, recorded their debut single "Theme from Rocky" — a disco medley that combined the ballad "Gonna Fly Now" and Survivor's "Eye of the Tiger". The single premiered on the television show Formel Eins as the highest-chart debut, at position 52, and soon entered the Top 10 of the German, Austrian, and Swiss charts, peaking at number 4 in Germany and achieving Gold status; it ranked twelfth in the German yearly sales charts. In the same year Round One released the cover "In Zaire" by Johnny Wakelin, which reached the Top 20 in Germany and Austria and the Top 10 in Switzerland, and in 1987 issued "Dance to the Music", a cover of Sly & the Family Stone that failed to chart.
