Silver Columns is a collaborative electronic music duo from England, formed in 2009 by Johnny Lynch, also known as The Pictish Trail and member of the Fence Collective, and Adem Ilhan, bassist for the post-rock outfit Fridge. The pair released their first singles, “Brow Beaten” and “Yes, and Dance”, anonymously before making their live debut at the Fence Records annual hootenanny, Homegame, in 2010. Their debut studio album, Yes, and Dance, was released in May 2010 on Moshi Moshi Records. Throughout 2010, the duo performed at various festivals and venues, including Lovebox and Glastonbury, gaining traction in the electronic music scene with a sound that drew comparisons to Hot Chip.
