Silverfish was a British indie rock band formed in the late 1980s that began performing in Camden, London, in 1988. The group consisted of lead singer Lesley Rankine, guitarist Andrew "Fuzz" Duprey, bassist Chris P Mowforth, and drummer Stuart Watson. Their indie punk metal sound was characterized by Rankine's distinctive vocals. Silverfish released their first EP, Silverfish E.P. (1989), followed by the compilation album Cockeye (1990). The band released their debut album, Fat Axl (1991), and toured with Pigface. In 1992, they gained wider acclaim with their second album, Organ Fan. Silverfish disbanded in 1993, with Rankine later forming the band Ruby with Mark Walk. The band's discography also included the EP Damn Fine E.P. (1993).
