Foje, a Lithuanian alternative rock band formed in 1983 at Antakalnis Secondary School in Vilnius by Andrius Mamontovas, Arnoldas Lukošius, and Darius Tarasevičius. Initially named Sunki Muzika, they renamed to Foje shortly after forming. In 1990, the band released Žodžiai Į Tylą. The band's career spanned over ten albums, including Gali Skambėti Keistai (1991) and Kitoks Pasaulis (1992). Influenced by the Stranglers and the 1980s post-punk movement, Foje's lyrics were often gloomy. In 1997, they performed three farewell concerts in Lithuania, with their final show at Vingis Park in Vilnius attracting 60,000 attendees. Two of their songs, "Laužo šviesa" (1986) and "Meilės nebus per daug" (1994), were voted into the Top 20 best Lithuanian songs of the 20th century in 2000 by media professionals. The band reunited in 2013 for a performance.
