Rude 66 is the professional moniker of the Dutch electronic musician Ruud Lekx, who was born in Delft, Netherlands, in 1966. He is famous for his long-term collaboration with Bunker Records and for being a prominent figure in the lo-fi acid scene. Lekx began his career in the 1980s as a keyboardist for the ensemble Kamika6 and later formed the ensembles Voice of the Mute and Modulate. He achieved professional recognition in 1993 after releasing acid tracks through Bunker Records. His discography includes the studio recordings Bunker 012 (1994), The Devils Highway (1996), and Sadistic Tendencies (2008). In 1998, his wife Shaunna Lekx joined the project as a vocalist and lyricist. The ensemble’s work also includes the studio recording the 1000 Year Storm (2007). Since 2009, Lekx has also been active as a mastering engineer.
