Il Castello di Atlante, an Italian progressive rock band from Vercelli, was founded in 1974. The original lineup included Aldo Bergamini, Massimo Di Lauro, Giampiero Marchiori, Dino Fiore, and Paolo Ferrarotti. In the early 1990s, they signed with Vinyl Magic and released their debut album Sono Io Il Signore Delle Terre A Nord in 1992, receiving positive reviews. The band continued to release albums throughout the 1990s and 2000s, including Passo Dopo Passo (a compilation of 1970s recordings), L'Ippogrifo, Come Il Seguitare Delle Stagioni, Quintessenza, and Concerto Acustico. They signed with Electromantic Music in the 2000s. The band has performed at major progressive festivals worldwide since 2005 and released a live DVD, Una Sera A Tokyo, in 2011. In 2018, they celebrated the 25th anniversary of their debut album with a re-recorded version titled Siamo Noi i Signori delle Terre a Nord.
