London based singer/songwriter Amethyst is a true advocate for the resurgence of UK Soul music and she should certainly be on your radar, if you are a fan of Cleo Sol, Sasha Keable, Snoh Aalegra or Ari Lennox. Unafraid of creating discussion around important topics, it's no wonder Amethyst has garnered support from the likes of Jamz Supernova at 1XTRA, Victoria Jane at Radio 1 and Jamie Cullum at Radio 2 as well as backing from COLORS, GUAP, Dummy Mag, Crack Mag, Rinse FM, Foundation FM and Jazz FM. With influences that spread from Ella Fitzgerald, Donny Hathaway and Gregory Porter to Beyoncé, Lianne La Havas, and Jazmine Sullivan, Amethyst’s sound encompases modern R&B production, old school soul instrumentation all tied together with a luscious and soothing soulful jazz vocal.
