Os Pontos Negros is a Portuguese garage-rock group formed in 2005. The band first recorded a track for the independent label FlorCaveira sampler, establishing their presence in the local music scene. Their debut studio album, Magnífico Material Inútil, entered the Portuguese sales charts in 2008, marking a commercial breakthrough. In 2010, the band released Pequeno-Almoço Continental, followed by Soba Lobi (2012), which was recorded at Abbey Road Studios in London and showcased an intimate sound. The group performed at major festivals such as Sudoeste in 2008 and Optimus Alive! in 2009, and earned a nomination for Best Portuguese Act at the 2009 MTV Europe Music Awards.
