Maleo Reggae Rockers are a Polish reggae band formed in Warsaw in 1997 by vocalist and guitarist Dariusz “Maleo” Malejonek. The group released its debut album, ZaZuZi, in 1998, combining reggae with elements of Polish folk music. Following extensive touring in Poland and abroad, they released the studio albums Reggaemova (2006) and Addis Abeba (2009), the latter becoming the first reggae album nominated for a Fryderyk Award. In 2010, Maleo Reggae Rockers performed at the Rototom Sunsplash festival in Spain. The band followed with Rzeka Dzieciństwa (2011), featuring reggae interpretations of songs associated with Polish artists including Czesław Niemen, Marek Grechuta, Tadeusz Nalepa, and Seweryn Krajewski. Their subsequent recordings include Revolution (2013), Wake Up (2015), and 20 lat Maleo Reggae Rockers – Bez Was nie ma Nas – Dziękujemy! (2017). The group has continued performing and releasing music, including the singles The Power of Heaven (2024) and Nowy Plan (2025).
