O. Children was a British alternative rock and post-punk band originating from London, England, formed in 2008 by singer-songwriter Tobias O'Kandi, Gauthier Ajarrista, Harry James, and Andrew Sleath. The group formed after the members' previous band, Bono Must Die, changed its name to Orphans FKABMD due to legal action by the singer Bono and subsequently disbanded following death threats. The name O. Children was chosen as a tribute to the song “O Children” by Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds. The group originally went by the name Shivers, but changed it due to a naming conflict. In 2009, they released the demo Dead, which featured the debut single “Dead Disco Dancer”. In early 2010, they released the single “Ruins”, followed by their self-titled debut album, O. Children, in July 2010. During this period, O'Kandi faced residency and identity issues and was threatened with deportation to Nigeria. The band released their second album, Apnea, in 2012, before becoming inactive later that year.
