Pauline Curuenavuli, known professionally as Paulini, born October 15, 1982, in Suva, Fiji, is a Fijian-Australian R&B and pop singer, songwriter, and musical theatre actress. She rose to fame in 2003 after placing fourth on the first season of Australian Idol, leading to a recording contract with Sony BMG. Paulini released the debut single “Angel Eyes” in 2004, which reached Number 1 on the ARIA Singles Chart, followed by the single “We Can Try”. Her debut studio album One Determined Heart was released in July 2004 and debuted at Number 1 on the ARIA Albums Chart. In 2004, Paulini released the holiday EP Amazing Grace: Songs for Christmas. She released her second studio album Superwoman in August 2006, which included the singles “Rough Day” and “So Over You”. After performing with the girl group Young Divas from 2006 to 2008, Paulini released the independent single “Scarless” on November 20, 2009. Paulini released her third studio album Come Alive on May 29, 2015, featuring the single “By My Side”, followed by Merry Christmas in 2015. In 2017, she made a stage debut starring in the Australian production of The Bodyguard.
