Nils Calle Peter Kristiansson, known professionally as Calle Kristiansson, was born on July 5, 1988, in Kristianstad County, Sweden. He gained prominence through his participation in the reality TV show Idol 2009, where he finished as the first runner-up behind Erik Grönwall. One of the songs Kristiansson performed during the competition, "Walking in Memphis" by Marc Cohn, was featured on several compilation albums, including Det bästa från Idol 2009. Following his success on Idol, Kristiansson released his debut studio album Calle Kristiansson in 2009. In 2010, he embarked on a tour with his band Calle & The Undervalleys, and the following year, the band released Valley Ralley. In 2013, he released his second solo album, Once in Kristianopel.
