In Mute, a Spanish melodic death metal band from Valencia, was formed in 2003. The group initially recorded their debut album Aeternum in 2006 at Sunnday Studios but faced delays and released it in 2009. In 2010, vocalist Alberto left the band, replaced by Steffi who brought a distinctive vocal style to In Mute. The group gained traction through performances with notable acts like Angelus Apatrida and Ktulu, as well as their participation at the WOA Metal Battle Spain in 2014. This led to extensive touring across Spain and Europe, including major festivals such as Viña Rock and Resurrection Fest. In Mute released their second album, Gea, in 2017 and the band's lineup changes continued with Vanja Plavsic joining in 2019 for the release of Chaos Breeder (2019). In Mute disbanded in 2021.
