Boo Boos is a collaborative project between Mark Oliver Everett, best known as the singer, songwriter and driving force behind Eels, and Kate Mattison, vocalist, multi-instrumentalist and leader of the New York-based soul-pop collective 79.5. The duo came together in the mid 2020s, combining Everett’s distinctive lyrical sensibility and gravelly vocal delivery with Mattison’s smooth, soulful presence and melodic instincts. Their music draws from indie pop, soft rock, folk-pop and classic singer-songwriter traditions, with a focus on intimacy, sharp storytelling and a warm yet understated production style. In 2025, after the release of the debut single "C'mon Baby", ranked number 59 on the UK Physical Singles Sales Official chart, followed "Total Thunder", and "The Toughest Bitch I Know". The debut album, Young Love, was released on September 19, 2025 through PIAS label.
