Alexandre Cavalière (born in 1985 near Mons, Belgium) is a Belgian violinist and composer who grew up in a musical family, learning piano, drums, and violin with his father Mario Cavalière. In 1998, he was discovered by Didier Lockwood and Babik Reinhardt, which led to performances in Brussels and Paris and the recording of his debut album L’album (1999) on Hébra Records, featuring Lockwood. He followed with the 2002 release Nomades and the 2008 project Familles with Mario Cavalière’s band Jazzy Strings. In 2020, he released Manouche moderne with the Alexandre Cavalière Quintet; he also joined the Wawau Adler band that year. Cavalière has taught jazz violin at the Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussel.
