The Aberlours, a German folk-rock band, was formed in 1999 in Halle (Saale). The group was founded by Klaus Adolphi and Steffen Knaul. Their initial performances included supporting Jethro Tull in Thüringen. In 2000, the band released their debut album Waiting for Noah. They continued to release albums such as Rich and Rambling (2002) and The Huns Are Coming (2005), which showcased their distinctive sound incorporating a rock-jazz playing style, unusual sounds, and almost exclusively original compositions. The Aberlours also collaborated with various musicians, including Ian Anderson from Jethro Tull, and performed at notable festivals like the Wacken Open Air. In 2015, they released their fifth studio album Dayoodlo!, which was their first release to feature entirely original compositions. Throughout their career, The Aberlours were known for their extensive touring and an innovative fusion of musical styles they dubbed "Celtic Folk'n'Beat".
