Freda'

Freda' is a Swedish pop band from Gnosjö, Småland, formed in 1983. The group achieved its breakthrough in 1986 with the hit single "Vindarna," which reached number 8 on the Swedish charts. Their 1988 album Tusen eldar sold more than 100,000 copies and won the Grammis Award for Religious Album of the Year, despite the band not intending to make Christian music. In 1990, Freda' received another Grammis as Rock Group of the Year. The band disbanded in 1993, with vocalist and songwriter Uno Svenningsson launching a solo career. Freda' reunited in 2009, releasing the single "Bäste vän", followed by the albums Ett mysterium (2010) and Beväpna dig med tanken (2014).
