Oscar Harris, born Oscar Harris on November 30, 1943 in Albina, Suriname, was a Surinamese singer. He moved to the Netherlands in 1963 to study architecture and founded the vocal and instrumental group Oscar Harris and The Twinkle Stars in 1965. The group gained recognition by performing at student gatherings in Amsterdam. In 1968, they were signed to Omega Records and Blue Elephant, leading to a tour of South America in 1971. Harris began his solo career in 1974 with the single "Alta Gracia", followed by a series of hit singles up to 1988. Notable releases include the albums Ballads (1972), A Day Will Come (1974), and One of a Kind (1978). He also recorded hits in Indonesia, such as "Sandy" and "Oh Tuhan". In 2015, TopNotch released a compilation CD devoted to Surinamese artists, including Harris.
