Isengard was a Swedish power-metal band from Vikingstad, founded in November 1988 by brothers Uffe and Janne Tillman. The group recorded its first demo, Atomic Winter (1992), and signed with Danish label Bums Records the following year, releasing Feel No Fear (1994) after a delay. A promotional EP, Under the Dragons Wing (1995), followed and gained the band international attention. The full-length album Enter the Dragon Empire arrived in 1996, after which vocalist Tony "Odin" Ulvan departed. In 2001, the band issued Crownless Majesty before announcing a split in 2004. It re-formed in 2011, released the EP Sail into Orion (2013), and disbanded again on May 26, 2016.
