Johannes Mössinger, born on October 9, 1964, in Lahr, Germany, is a German jazz pianist. He began playing trumpet during high school in Karlsruhe before switching to piano and studying at the Bern University of the Arts in 1990. Mössinger gained national recognition in 1998 through solo performances and achieved international success with his New York Trio featuring Karl Latham and Kermit Driscoll. Notable collaborations include work with Joe Lovano, Bob Malach, and Don Braden. In 2007, he founded the Jazzkongress e.V. in Freiburg, establishing a new jazz club that hosted regular concerts. Notable albums include The New Jersey Session (2009), Poetry (2011), Call It Even (2021), and About Bach (2024).
