The Inchtabokatables was a German rock band formed in Berlin in 1991. Their unique lineup featured two violins, a cello, bass, and drums, adhering to the principle of "no guitars." Their debut album, Inchtomanie (1992), established them in the folk rock genre with notable tracks like "Tomatenfisch". Following member changes, their musical direction shifted towards Neue Deutsche Härte and industrial rock with albums like Quiet (1997) and Too Loud (1998). Their discography also includes the albums White Sheep (1993) and Ultra (1994). Their final studio album, Mitten im Krieg (2001), was released before they announced their hiatus in 2002, culminating in a farewell concert at the Columbiahalle in Berlin on September 28, 2002.
