Relatives Menschsein was a German band from Kaufbeuren, formed in 1990 by Amadeus, Lissy Mödl, and Jörg Wolfgram. Prior to Relatives Menschsein, Lissy Mödl and Amadeus were part of the local band Predecease. The trio gained attention with their unique blend of electronic music and rock, along with poetic German lyrics. Their early tracks "Tempel", "Glaube" and especially "Verflucht" became hits in the dark wave scene, leading to a record deal with Danse Macabre. In 1992, they released their debut album Gefallene Engel, followed by Die Ewigkeit in 1993. The band toured extensively across Germany, Belgium, and Switzerland. After Jörg Wolfgram's departure in 1993, Relatives Menschsein continued with new members but only released individual songs on compilations.
