Hatesex, an American goth rock band from Los Angeles, was formed in 2003 by former Diva Destruction guitarist Benn Ra and vocalist Krisanna Marie. The duo met through a musicians' advertisement and released their debut EP The Spiritual Palsy in 2004, which included a collaboration with Swiss band Celtic Frost on a "gothicized" version of the 1983 Slayer song "Black Magic". This led to a recording contract with Dark Dimensions. Their first full-length album, Unwant, was released in September 2005 and featured songs from their EP. In February 2011, they released their second album, A Savage Cabaret, She Said.
