Luke Doucet, born June 9, 1973, in Halifax, Nova Scotia, is a Canadian singer-songwriter and guitarist. Raised in Manitoba, he began playing guitar at age 15 and joined Acoustically Inclined after their album Are You Inclined? was released in 1991. He moved to Vancouver and became part of Sarah McLachlan's band before forming the indie rock group Veal in 1994, releasing three albums with them. His debut solo album, Aloha Manitoba, came out in 2001. Subsequent releases include Outlaws (Live and Unreleased) (2004), Broken (And Other Rogue States) (2005), which was nominated for a Juno Award in the Adult Alternative Album of the Year category, Blood's Too Rich (2008), and Steel City Trawler (2010). He has also produced albums for various artists. In 2006, he married Melissa McClelland, with whom he formed the duo Whitehorse.
