Boxing Gandhis

The Boxing Gandhis, an American soul musical group from Los Angeles, were founded in 1994 by music producer David Darling. Signed to Mesa Records in 1993, their debut album Boxing Gandhis (1994), featured the hit single "If You Love Me (Why Am I Dyin')", which reached number 5 on the Radio & Records Triple A chart and won a Billboard Music Award for Best Jazz/Adult Contemporary in 1994. The group released their second album Howard under Atlantic Records in 1996, but it did not achieve significant radio popularity. Following this, the band went on hiatus but returned with an EP titled 3rd 2nd Chance in 2008 and a digital download-only EP Brand New Start in 2011.
