El Guapo Stuntteam was a Belgian garage rock band from Hasselt. Formed in 1995, the group originally included Erik Willmots, Cedric Maes, Micha Volders and Jethro Volders. The ensemble performed its first show at the club De Sjofaasj in Tongres and toured extensively across Germany, the Netherlands and Switzerland. In 1999, the band signed with the label Sounds of Subterrania and released its self-titled debut album. This was followed by the albums Year of the Panther (2001) and Battles Across the Stereo Spectrum (2004). The group issued the album Accusation Blues in 2007 which featured the song “Back from the Grave”. The music video for the track won an award at the Leuven Kort festival. In 2008, the band opened for Deep Purple at the Montreux Jazz Festival. El Guapo Stuntteam disbanded in 2009 and performed a farewell concert at the Muziekodroom in Hasselt which was issued on DVD.
