Das Präparat is a German electronic music project founded by Matthias Bornemann, known under his stage name Dr. Hyde. Bornemann began presenting his music as Das Präparat in early 2001. The project evolved into a trio with the addition of Hannes "Honey" Malecki and Nachtschwester K. In 2004, they released their first single "Tanz' mit deinen Gefühlen", which entered the German Alternative Charts. The group signed with Scanner Records in 2005 and released their debut album THX LD50 in 2007. Their subsequent albums include Mein Schmerz trägt Deinen Namen (2007) and Unschuldsblicke (2010). The project blends electropop, synthie-pop, and dark cabaret elements.
