Ectogram, a Welsh rock band from Bangor, was formed in 1993 with Ann Matthews, Alan Holmes, and Maeyc Hewitt. The group initially recorded two singles for Atol before signing with the Ankst label, where they released their debut album I Can't Believe It's Not Reggae! in 1996. Following the dissolution of Ankst in 1998, Ectogram continued with Ankstmusik and released several notable albums, including All Behind The Witchtower (2000) and Electric Deckchair (2005). The band collaborated with krautrock group Faust during a series of gigs in 2005. Following drummer Maeyc Hewitt's death from cancer on October 2, 2015, the band's website indicated that Ectogram's future was uncertain.
