John Callaghan, born 2 September 1969 in the United Kingdom, is a British electronic musician and performance artist. He first attracted attention with the 1998 single “I’m Not Comfortable Inside My Mind”, which aired on MTV’s Chill Out Zone in 1999 and later appeared on Warp’s 2004 compilation. The B‑side “Give Me Some Air” was played on BBC Radio 1’s John Peel show. Callaghan’s early releases included the EP You've Got Your Memories, I’ve Got My Dreams (2000) and Every Kiss Takes a Minute Off Your Life (2004), followed by the studio album It Might Never Happen (2007). He continued with the 2019 album John Callaghan’s Cortical Charabanc and the 2020 album If Every Day Were Like This One and its remix collection Remixes Of “If Every Day Were Like This One” (2020). Known for his eccentric and frenetic energy, Callaghan has also produced and directed musicians like Paul Vickers and Lee Ashcroft.
