Amadeus Guitar Duo, formed in 1991, is a classical guitar duo consisting of Canadian Dale Kavanagh and her German husband Thomas Kirchhoff. The duo began their musical journey with regular performances across Europe, North, Central, and South America, and Asia. Their debut album, Guitar Gala Night, was released in 1993. Amadeus Guitar Duo has collaborated with numerous orchestras, including the Prager Kammerorchester, Mainzer Kammerorchester, Mannheimer Kammerorchester, and Philharmonisches Staatsorchester Halle, and worked with composers such as Harald Genzmer and Gheorghe Zamfir, who wrote pieces specifically for them. The duo founded the Internationale Gitarren-Symposion Iserlohn in 1992, which has grown into one of the largest guitar festivals worldwide. Amadeus Guitar Duo has released 15 albums under Hänssler-Classic and performed in more than 850 concerts across over 50 countries.
