Matthias Brodowy, born in 1972 in Braunschweig, Germany, is a cabaret artist, singer, and pianist. He grew up in Wolfsburg and Hannover, where he trained as a church musician. He began his career as a member of the cabaret group Profilachticker from 1989 to 1999. His first solo program, Schweigen Sie ein, ich fahre Wort – Kabarettistische Kreuz- und Querzüge, was released in 1997. In 2004, he co-founded the generalmusikverlag with Sebastian Gerhard. He performed at various venues and on shows like Quatsch Comedy Club. He received the Deutscher Kleinkunstpreis in 2013 for his musical-literarisches program In Begleitung, which he performed with Carsten Hormes and Wolfgang Stute. He released several albums, including Bis es Euch gefällt (2013) and the live CD Kopfsalat (2014).
