Fire was an English band active in the late 1960s and early 1970s. The group consisted of Dave Lambert, who later joined Strawbs, Bob Voice, and Dick Dufall. In 1968, they released their debut single, “Father's Name Is Dad” / “Treacle Toffee World”, followed by the single “Round the Gum Tree” / “Toothie Ruthie” in the same year. Guitarist Paul Brett joined the trio to record their classic studio album, Magic Shoemaker, which was recorded at Pye Studios in London and released in 1970. This vinyl LP was later ranked among the top 10 collectable vinyl records in the United Kingdom. In 2008, the live album The Magic Shoemaker Live was released, featuring live recordings of the original lineup alongside Paul Brett and Dave Cousins, with Ray Hammond as the narrator.
