Stefan Goldmann, born in 1978 in Berlin, is a German DJ, composer, and producer of electronic music. He grew up in Berlin and Sofia, studying audio communication at TU Berlin. Goldmann began producing electronic music around 1999, with his first releases from 2001 onwards on labels in the UK and USA. In 2005, he signed with Perlon and Innervisions, starting to perform internationally, notably at Berlin's Berghain club. Goldmann founded Macro Records in 2007, releasing his debut album The Transitory State (2008) alongside an electroacoustic composition album, Voices of the Dead (2008. His work includes notable tracks like "Sleepy Hollow" and "Lunatic Fringe", which influenced postminimal techno. Collaborations include remixes for Igor Stravinsky's "Le Sacre Du Printemps" and Christian Fennesz, as well as the ballet The Grand Hemiola with choreographer Kevin O’Day.
