Andrew Drury, born on December 4, 1964, in Bellevue, Washington, is an American drummer and percussionist known for his work in jazz and improvised music. He began playing the drums at age 12 and studied under Dave Coleman Sr. from 1979 to 1982. Drury's early career included collaborations with musicians like David Bindman and Jessica Lurie, and he received a National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) stipend in 1991. He released his debut album Polish Theater Posters in 1998. Throughout the 2000s, Drury worked on various projects, including the tribute album As We Speak: for Ed Blackwell, and collaborated with artists like Brad Shepik and Briggan Krauss. Notable releases included A Momentary Lapse (2003) and Content Provider (2015). Drury was also an active music educator.
