Chroma Noir is a duo formed in Santiago, Chile in late 2024, consisting of vocalist Mauricio Solari and multi-instrumentalist Mario Castro. Their musical style blends atmosphere, intensity, and melody rooted in electronica and synth-pop, drawing from post-punk and goth influences.
The group cites inspiration from bands including Depeche Mode, Bauhaus, The Sisters of Mercy, and Peter Murphy. Their sound is characterized by Solari’s expressive vocals paired with Castro’s cinematic synthesizer work, creating what they describe as “noir-tinged textures with driving rhythms.”
The duo appeals to fans of synthwave and darkwave, combining synth-driven pop of the early 1980s with contemporary production. Since their September 2025 debut “Burned Into My Mind,” they have released three further singles: “Black Rain” (November 2025), “Sacrifice” (March 2026), and their latest, “Stay Forever” (April 2026), all produced by Nicolás Arce. Together the tracks trace an artistic vision that balances nostalgia with forward momentum.
