Eekkoo is a Canadian electronic music artist and producer born in Montreal, Quebec. Born Jonathan Doyon, he began his musical career in 2008. He has worked as a teacher of sound synthesis and design at the college Musitechnic. In 2012, his remix of the song “Channel 42” by Deadmau5 and Wolfgang Gartner was played on BBC Radio 1. He subsequently signed with the label mau5trap and released the original composition “Lekture”. Eekkoo released the EP Hell Is Other People in 2014, which was named one of the 25 best-selling dance albums of the year on the iTunes Store in the United States. His recording history includes remixes for artists such as The Presets and Lane 8. His solo recordings included the releases Forever EP, Letters EP and the single “Towers”.
