Jorge Enrique Madueño Vizurraga, born 8 March 1968 in Lima, is a Peruvian singer‑songwriter, actor, and broadcaster. He began as a drummer in the underground rock group Narcosis in 1984, later joining Eructo Maldonado, and later formed La Liga del Sueño, where he transitioned to singing. La Liga del Sueño released the albums Al derecho y al revés (1994), Por Tierra (1996), and Mundo Cachina (1998), which brought him national recognition. After the group’s hiatus in 2000, Madueño embarked on a solo career, issuing Ciudad Naufragio in 2004, featuring the single "Alma de 80's" and a duet with Joaquín Sabina. His second solo effort, No te salves, followed in 2009, with singles "Es hora" and "No hay estrellas en el mar". In 2012, he released Nivel nacional. Throughout his career, he has collaborated with artists such as Gian Marco and Marcello Motta, appeared in films like Ciudad de M, and hosted the program Radio BBVA on Radio Oxígeno. His 2016 sold‑out concert at the Gran Teatro Nacional was recorded as the live album 20 años al borde, cementing his status as a mainstay of Peruvian popular music.
