Suzuki Mikikozu, formed in 2012 in Nagoya, Aichi Prefecture, is a two-piece rock band that began when Suzuki, previously a solo artist, was approached by Takahashi, who was active in another band. Their initial release as a band was an EP titled Aaa in 2012. They continued to evolve musically, releasing the album Naniga Pop da in 2013 through select Disk Union stores and online, marking their entry into wider distribution. In 2014, they dropped the EP Fukanzen Ningen and participated in the Haiko Fes 5 in Senboku City, Akita, a festival they would play for several years. That same year marked their venture into operating a live music space, "Taraba," in Nagoya. The band consistently released music over the following years, with notable works including the single "Kirai an Band" and the album Kimigayo in 2016, and the EP Namae ga warui in 2017, their first nationwide distribution. Their activity expanded further with performances at significant music festivals like the RISING SUN ROCK FESTIVAL and involvement in high-profile events, though some were thwarted by natural events like typhoons. The band's latest major announcement in 2024 was their major debut with the single "Iwakan to Kyukutsu" under the PANAM label of Nippon Crown, set for release on October 30, signaling a significant step in their ongoing evolution. They released the single "Akatsuki" in 2024. "Tomaruna Kiken" is one of the notable tracks in their album, Ibara (2026).
