Clann Lir is a Russian folk collective that has evolved into a supergroup, performing ancient Celtic songs from Ireland, Scotland, and Wales. The ensemble includes singer‑songwriter Hellawes of Melnitsa, bagpiper Vladimir Lazerson of Tintal, singer Yuri Andreychuk of Voinstvo Sidov, and composer‑keyboardist Konstantin Vyshinsky. The ensemble, named after the Irish legend of the Children of Lir, focused on traditional Celtic repertoire in Irish, Gaelic, and Welsh rather than original compositions. In 2006, harpist Tatiana Strunina joined the group, expanding the lineup to include vocals, guitar, Celtic harp, bodhran, bagpipes, flutes, lute, mandolin, spinet, synthesizer, and dulcimer. Their album, Clann Lir, was released in 2005 and debuted in Moscow’s Veresk club during the Celts Non‑Stop festival on St. Patrick’s Day. Perekrestok Records later reissued it in 2008.
