Havoc Unit was a Finnish industrial metal project from Helsinki established in 2005. The ensemble evolved from the metal group ...And Oceans and was intended to represent a different musical concept rather than a simple name change. Their recording career included the studio recording SYNÆSTHESIA – The Requiem Reveries (2007) and the split recording Havoc Unit / And Then You Die (2007). The group reached wider visibility for the studio recording h.IV+ [Hoarse Industrial Viremia] (2008), which featured elements of electronic music and influences from death and black metal. Havoc Unit's lyrical themes were characterized by an opposition to religiosity. The project reached professional recognition through its association with the French label Season of Mist and the Finnish studio Tico Tico. The ensemble resumed activity under the name ...And Oceans in 2020.
