Lunik is a Swiss pop rock ensemble established in 1997. They achieved professional recognition for a musical style characterized by trip-hop and pop and for the vocalist Jaël Malli. The ensemble was founded by the musicians Adi Amstutz, Luk Zimmermann, Mats Marti, Walo Müller, and Anton Höglhammer. Their recording career began with the debut studio recording Rumour (1999). Lunik achieved professional recognition for the studio recording Ahead (2001) and the studio recording Weather (2003) receiving gold certification in Switzerland. After several lineup changes, the ensemble achieved professional recognition for continuing as a trio composed of Malli, Zimmermann, and Cédric Monnier. Their discography included the studio recording Preparing to Leave (2006), which reached Number 1 in the Swiss charts and achieved platinum certification. The ensemble achieved professional recognition for the studio recording What Is Next (2012) reaching Number 1 in the Swiss charts. The group became inactive in 2013 following a farewell performance at the venue the Kultur Casino in Bern. Lunik achieved professional recognition for resuming activity in 2025 and releasing the studio recording Cycle Breaker (2026).
