Enrique Diaz, born in the 20th century, is a Chilean jazz bassist who began his musical journey studying classical double bass at the Conservatory of La Serena and the University of Chile. Diaz collaborated with Chilean jazz groups such as La Hebra and the Orquesta Sinfónica de Chile, as well as in duos and trios with Barre Phillips, Mike Herting, and Luis Borda, and later performed at festivals in Cologne, Leverkusen, and Berlin. Notable albums include Tocanda La Tierra (1992) and Sin Tiempo (1997). He also worked with Miriam Makeba and Charlie Mariano, among others. Additionally, he contributed film scores for the documentaries Oro blanco (2001) and Un viaje a través de la Patagonia.
